Sherlock Holmes

The world’s greatest detective made his first film appearance in 1900 and has never slowed down. Over the 100+ years since, actors such as Arthur Wontner, Raymond Massey, Reginald Owen, Christopher Lee and of course, Basil Rathbone, have donned the famous deerstalker and pipe, with able support from H. Marion Crawford, Nigel Bruce and others. Generations have stalked the foggy English countryside and dark London streets with Holmes and his trusted friend Dr. Watson, in search of murderers, blackmailers and the Napoleon of Crime himself, Professor Moriarty, with no end in sight.
